Sunil Singhania-led Abakkus MF, JioBlackRock MF file draft documents with Sebi for three funds each

Two asset management companies are set to broaden their product suites with six proposed schemes spanning both active and passive strategies.
Abakkus Mutual Fund, founded by Sunil Singhania, and JioBlackRock Mutual Fund have submitted draft scheme documents to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) for three schemes each, taking the combined pipeline to six new funds.
In total, the two fund houses plan to introduce three actively managed schemes and three passive offerings. Abakkus Mutual Fund intends to roll out three hybrid schemes, while JioBlackRock Mutual Fund will come out with two target maturity index funds and one exchange-traded fund (ETF).
Abakkus Mutual Fund’s proposed launches are Abakkus Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund, Abakkus Aggressive Hybrid Fund and Abakkus Arbitrage Fund. For all three schemes, the minimum lumpsum investment will be Rs 500, with additional investments in multiples of Re 1. For monthly SIPs, the minimum instalment will also be Rs 500, in multiples of Re 1, with at least six instalments required.
Abakkus Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund will be an open-ended scheme that dynamically shifts between debt and equity instruments. Its performance will be benchmarked against the CRISIL Hybrid 50+50 – Moderate Index and it will be managed by Sanjay Doshi and Abhishek Krishnaswami Srinivas.
The scheme’s allocation range will be 10–90% in equity and equity-related instruments, including foreign securities, and 10–90% in debt and money market instruments, including units of debt-oriented mutual fund schemes.
This product is positioned for investors seeking long-term capital growth through a dynamically managed mix of equity (including derivatives) and debt and money market securities.
Abakkus Aggressive Hybrid Fund will be an open-ended hybrid scheme with a primary focus on equity and equity-related instruments. It will be benchmarked against the CRISIL Hybrid 35+65 – Aggressive Index and managed by Pratish Krishnan Kolleri and Abhishek Krishnaswami Srinivas.
The fund will invest 65–80% in equity and equity-related instruments, including overseas securities; 20–35% in fixed income (debt and money market instruments); 0–15% in exchange-traded commodity derivatives (ETCDs), Gold ETFs and Silver ETFs; and 0–10% in units of InvITs.
It is aimed at investors looking for long-term capital appreciation through a predominantly equity-oriented portfolio complemented by fixed income exposure.
Abakkus Arbitrage Fund will be an open-ended scheme focused on exploiting arbitrage opportunities. Its benchmark will be the Nifty 50 Arbitrage Index, and it will be managed by Sanjay Doshi, Prashant Shelar and Abhishek Krishnaswami Srinivas.
The scheme will allocate 65–80% to equity and equity-related instruments, including overseas securities and equity derivatives, and 0–35% to debt and money market instruments, including margin for derivative positions.
This fund is intended for investors seeking short- to medium-term returns by primarily investing in arbitrage opportunities between the cash and derivatives segments of the equity market.
JioBlackRock Mutual Fund plans to launch the JioBlackRock CRISIL-IBX AAA NBFC Index – Jun 2027 Fund, JioBlackRock CRISIL-IBX AAA Financial Services Index – Sep 2027 Fund and JioBlackRock Silver ETF.
For all three JioBlackRock schemes, the minimum lumpsum investment will be Rs 500, with no upper limit on subsequent amounts. For SIPs in the two index funds, the minimum instalment will be Rs 500, in multiples of Re 1, with at least six instalments.
JioBlackRock CRISIL-IBX AAA NBFC Index – Jun 2027 Fund will be an open-ended target maturity index fund that replicates or tracks the CRISIL-IBX AAA NBFC Index – Jun 2027, aiming for relatively low interest rate and credit risk.
Its benchmark will be the CRISIL-IBX AAA NBFC Index – Jun 2027 (TRI), and it will be managed by Arun Ramachandran, Vikrant Mehta and Siddharth Deb.
The scheme will invest 95–100% in fixed income securities that form part of the CRISIL-IBX AAA NBFC Index – Jun 2027, and 0–5% in debt and money market instruments (including mutual fund units), cash and cash equivalents.
JioBlackRock CRISIL-IBX AAA Financial Services Index – Sep 2027 Fund will be an open-ended target maturity index scheme mirroring the CRISIL-IBX AAA Financial Services Index – Sep 2027, with moderate interest rate risk and relatively low credit risk.
Its performance will be benchmarked against the CRISIL-IBX AAA Financial Services Index – Sep 2027 (TRI) and it will also be managed by Arun Ramachandran, Vikrant Mehta and Siddharth Deb. The fund will invest 95–100% in fixed income securities that constitute the CRISIL-IBX AAA Financial Services Index – Sep 2027 and 0–5% in debt and money market instruments (including mutual fund units), cash and cash equivalents.
This scheme is meant for investors seeking income over the stated maturity period through a passive portfolio of fixed income securities that replicates the CRISIL-IBX AAA Financial Services Index – Sep 2027, subject to tracking error.
JioBlackRock Silver ETF will be an open-ended ETF designed to replicate or track the domestic price of silver. Its benchmark will be the domestic silver price, and it will be managed by Tanvi Kacheria and Haresh Mehta.
The ETF will invest 95–100% in silver and silver-related instruments as permitted by Sebi, and 0–5% in debt and money market instruments, including mutual fund units.
